Just when I thought end was in sight, I ate something that didn't agree with me on xmas and spent next 12 hours in bathroom vomiting and pooping. Thought I was gonna die.

Was tapering to 5mg of prednisone / day, but i think i may have to go back up

AARRRGGHH.

Ok...now I feel better.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear that.

I paid a little with all the stuff that has been eaten during the holidays as well, but not for 12 hours! I had discomfort for a couple days and then horrible pain while cleaning up from having Christmas with my in-laws. We had just finished our dinner and I was cleaning up and I doubled over in pain. I was pretty miserable for about an hour, but that seems like nothing compared to what you went through. I do hope you're feeling better now. Have you figured out what it was that you ate to cause it? I'm still quite new and have no idea what may have caused mine. No egg nog though - yuckie!

Well - seems like it was "just" the stomach flu. Wifey got it a few days later.

Still - can't seem to get regular.

I love eggnog but have about half a glass a year. Any more than that and I'll be sitting on the throne for hours.

I got some weird stomach thing right before Christmas too, thought
I was gonna die in the bathroom. I was tapering Pred, now I am stuck
on 40mg because the dumb stomach bug or whatever it was got my
inflammation back up. It never ends. Good thing I don't like eggnog
I guess. :lol: How long have you been on the Pred?

I understand! I am tapering off 60 mg right now and am at 20 mg. I hope and pray nothing happens to make me return to higher dosage before I start remicade next week. I hope You Feel better soon.

Started Prednisone in September. Had been tapering and was down to 5mg/day. GI just boosted me back up to 20mg. Insomnia here I come!

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully it makes you feel better at least.
Do they give you sleeping pills with the Pred? Mine do, but I never need them.
Doesn't give me insomnia, but a lot of other unpleasant things...

No sleeping pills - but then again I wouldn't take them anyways. Trying to minimize drugs in my body.

I was just eliminating bloatiness and acne but now I dread they'll return now that I'm upping dosage. I hate Pred. I really do.

Yeah, what a holiday season. I attended a family party today, if you want to call lying in the corner and trying not to scream in pain "attending"

My mom was over last night, and said that she saw it happen right in front of her. I was Ok, I was fine, we had dinner, and within 20 minutes I was a mess.

Hehe you sound like me. I was doing so well until 3 weeks ago and BOOM ended up in the hospital with a flare from h e double hocky sticks.

I'm still on 30mg of pred atm though and my stomach started up again yesterday. I might have to go back up to 35...

Sigh.
