I have been away from the forum for a while.Loads of tests again (what fun) !
I have been pretty ill. Did not want to talk to anyone, very depressed. The new surgeon is causing me a lot of pain.Every time i get a new one he thinks he knows crohns better :depressed: than the last. looks like they may op on my spine.I had tests today right leg is weak.I now have to walk with a stick. The worst is seeing my daughters eyes when i hobble into the room.I should be playing with her . I am so pxxxed off.

What happened to your spine?

I am so sorry to hear that. Talking to a psychologist may be able to help you with your depression at least it has been helping me with mine, I know it's nothing compared to what you are going through but still. I wish you the best of luck. Also how old is your daughter because if you can explain to her about what's going on may help her and you cope with what is going on.

Again best wishes my friend.

Hi rattle... sorry to hear you've been ill again.. Breaking in a new doc can be a pain. I sometimes wonder whether they actually believe their own 'hype'.. or is it just a case of they've used the same approach to 'build up' confidence in new patients that they've lost touch... they don't really listen to the words coming out of their mouths anymore.. sometimes get the impression they don't really listen to their patients too.
I've run into this a couple of times.. See, my GP, a really great doc, went out of his way to get me in to see the 'best' surgeons... course, that meant I was also seeing the 'biggest' egos.. Guess you have to take the good with the bad, right?

I also feel for you when you talk about seeing your daughters eyes when you have to 'hobble'.. My sons came to visit... JUST as I was hit with an allergic reaction to Imuran. It totally crippled me... they were not used to seeing me like that.. And I had a REALLY hard time dealing with my seeing them seeing me, you know what I mean? and it's not just male pride or ego talking here... well, maybe in my case it's a little of that.. But it was more a case of seeing them (both grown)
with a look of 'fear' in their eyes... THAT was/still is... the hardest part to deal with

Anyway, God Bless.. Good luck with the tests. Whip that doc into shape ASAP, and let us know how you make out with everything else. And keep your chin up!
