Hey guys, so we've come up with a recipe to make some delicious tasting chicken, you get tenderloins, roll em in almond meal, pour coconut oil on the pan and start cooking, add a generous slice of butter in the mix and bam that's it... Technically this is SCD legal, but honestly the tenderloins taste like KFC... I know too much butter isn't good for you but man oh man I feel like iv made a serious win here after eating plain chicken for so long...

love it, try a few spices in with the almond meal.

I'm of the belief that the whole 'fat = bad' thing is a lie,
it's the refined carbs that cause the problems

I do a chicken schnitzel in the oven that is similar (paleo but not SCD - arrowroot)

Yea I needa go a little easier on the butter I think, I'm
Tryna cut out all processed sugars but iv been eating rice still, (use rice wraps) they're processed I know, but iv come along way from what I used to eat, thats as processed as I go. What is your opinion on lactose free milk? I don't understand why dairy is allowed in SCD in the form of some cheeses as long as they no longer have lactose in them, but it still lists milk as illegal.

too much fat messes with some people, but if you're ok with it then you're ok.
-edit- ghee is clarified butter and less problematic than butter, bad proteins are removed and burns at a higher temperature

I've added rice in and seem fine so far,
mmmm rice noodles sure are good

I don't drink any milk,
i played around with milk kefir for a while with no ill effect but i just decided i couldn't be bothered with the smell of rotten milk and scrubbing the jars.
i make Water kefir and kombucha, and i plan to add in fermented veggies (y'know, one day.......)

Lactose is a sugar that is illegal on scd so when most of the lactose has been consumed by fermentation/bacteria then it is scd legal.
There are other things in milk that can be problematic (proteins) and i just don't like it but a bit of cheese is fine by me
