Lately I been having terrible pain,to be more specific it usually happens above my pelvic region and it comes in waves. My tummy also makes grumbling nosies as well and that when the pain comes in. It really bad guys. I'm laying in bed most of the day becomes the pain gets so bad. I feel like I can't really do much besides rest because moving makes it worse. I have to walk real slow because the pain is so bad and sometimes I stop walking because the pain is too much.
I wanted to get a lot of things done today but I'm in no mood for walking around too much unless absolutely necessary.
Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this pain?
I take tylenol but it doesn't really help all that much.
I hate this pain so much. I have a radiology appointment this thursday.

I'm really sorry to hear you are in such pain. After my second hospitalization last spring (partial obstructions both times) my GP put me on MS Contin, long acting morphine, as well as Percocet for breakthrough pain. I slowly weaned off both but still experience a lot of pain which, like yours, gets worse when I move around. Doctors are really nervous about writing prescriptions for opioids in my state, and my GP refused to give me anything for four months. She recently put me on a Butrans patch, which is low dose buprenorphine. It seems to help, although I still have days that are not so great. My most recent imaging was clear, so I'm puzzled about the origin of the pain. I think I am beginning to convince my GP that I am responsible with pain medication, but it's a struggle. I also doubt my pain, which makes me feel guilty when I sit or lie down. I hope the imaging shows why you are in such pain and that you can get some help. Have you noticed your pain is worse with certain foods? I have found that my appetite is so limited that my eating habits are odd, but haven't identified any specific foods that bother me more than others. But then my diet is pretty bland anyway.

I would contact your doctor. Hope you feel better soon.

I did contact my primary care doctor but he didn't know what the problem was. He suggest that I see my G.I but I couldn't get a hold of him. His offices kept going to voicemail.

Sorry to hear that you are going through this, I would definitely contact your GI about the pain. My GI just recently sent me to the pain clinic and I get 15mg morphine, I just have to be careful and not get constupated. But I was having the same pain as you are but with a little extra added to the mix. Hope this helps.. Your friend crohn's4ever

Sorry to hear about your pain. What you describe is what a partial blockage feels like for me. I drink clear fluids to help calm it down. I would see the gi doc asap.

I manage pain with Percocete as the front line of defence. When its weaker pain Tylenol #1 with codien are enough. Regular Tylenol does very little. Its hard to get opiod prescriptions but being persistant with the doctor helped. I've had good pain control since my original diagnosis and operation that left me with a colostomy 16 years ago.

I would feel concerned that pain that debilitating was a sign of a bigger underlying problem. Keep trying your GI! I hope you find out what's going on and feel better soon!
