How do you know if you have it? I'm 18 but I really havent hit puberty yet, I do have a little blood when I wipe, and my sister is diagnosed with Crohn's awhile ago. I dont know if I should be worried or not, I dont really have any side effects of it. I mean I do get stomach pains but not often and they arent even that bad. I do have back pain but i've always had that from work. I have to wake up at 5:00 for work also, but I'm really only tired in the morning. Should I just go see a doctor to ease my mind? What do they even do? And if I had Crohn's would the doctors have spotted it? I recently had to go to ER since I was having left chest pains and arm numbness (pinched nerve) everything seemed fine, my blood, blood pressure my heart etc. They didnt do a stool or urine test. I dont know if I should go to my doctor or the ER, any help would be appreciated! sorry if this is the wrong section!

I would contact your family Dr. The ER will focus on what your main complaint is.. chest pain.. so they will run all tests for that. Did you tell the ER you were having other issues? The ER will help you if you go to them, but they will also set you up with a GI doctor. Just my opinion, but I would go to the Dr and save yourself the long wait in the ER.(unless you are bleeding bad, or in bad pain.) I do think you should follow up on it and not ignore it. Good Luck.

Well I didnt really pay much attention to the blood before thinking it was just a cut or something. Im doing a walk for my sister and decided to look at what Crohn's is etc. I got freaked out, but I'll talk to her and see what she thinks, she 'll probably say the same. My parents will think im crazy since they probably think I have health anxiety after the whole chest pain situation. Thanks a lot!
P.S my chest pain is gone now haha.

It may turn out to be nothing, but just to rule it out I would go and get it checked. If it turns out to be nothing then you will at least know.

Best to figure it out earlier then later. I see what your saying, seeing what my sister has had to go through. It must've been tough.

When you wipe? Probably just hemmorhoids if you're not having any other major other symptoms. Everyone gets a riled tummy now and then, and everyone has fatigue.

That said, if you are worried about something, don't walk to the doctor's office - run there! Get some peace of mind from someone with years of experience, first hand. Tell them about your sis having it, and ask for tests to screen for it. The usual everyday tests they do won't pick it up, they need to go looking.

Moral of the story, don't worry, but if you do, just go talk to your doc.

Im at peace of mind now, my sister said I was probably fine too haha. Im only fatigued sometimes because im doing all the grunt work and running about 30+ flights of stairs a day... its rough ahah
