How long does it last

Hey guys I had my first infusion bout 3.5 weeks ago while i was in hospital I'm expecting another infusion sometime next week.

But I can feel some of my symptoms coming back slowly tired and aggitated more trips to the loo with more d and mucas and bit of blood are back they want me to go on imuran to help make the remicade last longer but I just want the remicade as imuran doesn't agree with me

Hi Boza. I think everyone is different with the Remi. Some folks feel great after the first infusion, for others it takes a bit longer. I felt a big difference after the 2nd, but did feel symptoms returning a bit before the third.
I know some people are switched to 6mp if they can't tolerate Imuran/Aza so it might be an option.

Well I was lucky enough to have mine work literally the night of my first infusion. I go about 7-7.5 weeks and just before my next I get sick for a few days until I get the next infusion. It's about time for me to reapply for funding so I'm going to see about getting funding for every 6-7 weeks next year.

For AZA I'm on it too but I believe it was explained to me as being there to help keep me from becoming immune to the Remicade as it is an immunosuppresent. If it doesn't agree with you I'd see about switching to 6mp as Grumbetum suggested.
