This is my first post on this forum. I am very happy that this place exists, like many before me have expressed. I feel so very fortunate to have a disease that is relatively mild.
I would like to know if any of you have done some extended international travel before, especially if you get infusions to handle the Crohn's. What do you do for medication when you can't return back home? Is there a way to look for providers / insurance?
I will be traveling abroad for a full year to Copenhagen and Hong Kong. As I make travel plans, I am starting to think about/worry about my treatments in these countries. Right now I am a Remicade patient and I get my infusions every 8 weeks like clockwork before the flares start up. The Pentasa anti-inflammatory medication I take in pill form regularly is helpful but it doesn't stop the onset of the flares.
