Hello all July of last year I came out of remission , not stop problems my GI doc did a colonoscopy and found ulcers all through my small bowel ..I have been on just about every med! So we started prednisone ,it didn't seem to work so them we went to humira...kept on getting infections so we had to stop that. So my doc just kept on treating my symptoms ,nausea ,diarreha , weight loss ....we eventually tried prednisone again and it seem to be working...well when the infections cleared up we started the humira again...and weaned off the prednisone ...finished that last week well woke up Monday morning and felt like crap I feel like I am back at square one....I had a bowelmovement Tuesday and it was kinda formed but real skinny? Every morning this week I always had diahrea ,yesterday was so bad ,by 12 I had already been on the toilet 7 times I can't eat I am so nauseous ...here is the confusing part for me ...yesterday all the pain was in my left side ...i couldnt even stand straight up...my back hurts so bad and I noticed my bowelmovement is not watery but it burns my bottom so bad ...I have noticed mucus to..... I am so exhausted ...:(

Call your GI right away. If you don't like the answers you get, get a second opinion.

You have a few options:
1) They can adjust your Humira dosage
2) They can explore Remicade (very similar to Humira)
3) Look for a supplementary medication for the Humira

You can do the following to improve your chances of returning to remission:
1) Supplement Folic acid
2) Supplement Vitamin D
3) Explore probiotics/yogurt as a possibility

I'd recommend consulting your doctor to make sure these are good for you, but all 3 of those things have statistically significant contributions to crohn's treatment.

I would say call your doctor if you haven't already. I know that if I stop taking steroids before my body is ready, my symptoms all come right back with a vengeance too. I would guess that going back on steroids for awhile longer will help, but your doctor should be aware that you're having such bad symptoms. Hang in there!

Thank you, I talked to my doc yesterday...when I had my ct back in nov. it did show inflamation in my colon....so we are going to do another colonoscopy next week. So we started prednisone again(yuck) today I'm feeling better ( considering what I felt like Thursday) can i ask what mucus looks like ,I am having this gel looking stuff in my bowelmovement kinda like snot looking but it's clear? Is that mucus? My knees are hurting me like crazy, could someone tell me what they do for joint pain?
Thank you
