I don't know what to do.

Hi everyone, on Oct 21 I went to my cousin's wedding and decided to try one oyster. Well it went down hill from there. I've been dealing with pain in the middle of my stomach and lower right quadrant area, diarrhea, rectal pain, internal fever, back pain where I can't walk and lastly since yesterday frequent urination. My doctors partner precribed me doxycycline hyclate (antibiotic) and lomotil last 3 days. I feel worse. I decided I need to go to the ER the question I have is I live in New Jersey and gas is scarce due to the hurricane we had, my doctor is based out of hospital that is 40 mins away and I don't have gas for that. Meanwhile I have a great hospital 3 mins away. Can my doctor give them orders? Idk what to do? I'm in extreme pain and can't hold off any longer.

The only way your doctor can give orders is if he has practice rights at that hospital. I would say if you are in such pain go to that hospital I'm sure the doctors there could consult with your doctor on treatment.

Also 40 minutes is a very long time when you are in pain. Go to the hospital close to you. Good Luck!!
