I have had this symptom that has been annoying me for some years now and I want to see if anyone here has the same problem and can help me.
Sometimes, when I finish my meal (usually lunch or breakfast), I get this urge to go to the toilet, but I can see right away that it is not a "normal" urge to defecate. I do my thing, usually diarrhea, and then five minutes after I have the necessity of going again, and this time less quantity is expelled. After that, I need to go again, and again untill some point when I'm not releasing anything but it still feels like I need to defecate. This can keep going for like 1-3 hours!! After my first trip to the toilet, it kinda feels that the discomfort and the necessity of defecate doesn't come from my stomach, but somewhere below, like my intestines or even my anus.
This usually happens 3-5 times a week and it's being quite annoying, because 3 hours is much time to be wasted every single day. Besides, I'm going to start working from morning to evening, with 1 hour for lunchtime, and this obviously can be a problem, so I am afraid of eating anything during that break.
Has anyone ever experienced this? How can I overcome this?
Thanks in advance.

Lots if not most people on here have experienced that. Usually when you have diarrhea you don't go just one time, your intestines basically reject whatever was in it. As to why it happens at a certain time I'm not sure but it tends to happen most often in the morning. Contact your GI and see if there's anything they can do for you. I don't know when your most recent scope was but that test is a gives a good indication on what's happening on the inside along with blood work. Having some tests done along with going over your symptoms will help the doctor decide what course of meds would be best for you (even if its an anti diarrhea med like Lomotil). Seems you have 2 posts so I'll have to check out your other one to see if you shared any more information on your condition/history.

Welcome to the forum! :D

About my history, I've been diagnosed when I was 12 (I am 20 now). I took large doses of cortisone when I was a kid, along with Pentasa. When I was 16 I was assigned to another doctor and she removed the cortisone and gave me Imuran instead, keeping the Pentasa.
The only problem I had with my intestines when I was a kid was that I always had go to the toilet everyday at 8:30 AM when I was in class (it was always at that time, I don't know why), but I only went one time to the bathroom, so it wasn't very problematic.

Now the problem this thread is about started started happening about 5 years ago, and it comes and go... Sometimes I'm an entire year perfectly normal, like I didn't have this disease, and then all of a sudden this starts happening right after lunch or breakfast, and it keeps happening like every other day for some 5 or 6 months. I was wondering if anyone has the same thing, and if they took medication for it.

The symptom you describe is called tenesmus an it is often related to inflamation in the last part of the colon/rectum. Would be worth speaking with your gi as various enemas can help eg steroid or pentasa enemas etc
