I noticed the xifaxan talk seems to have died down...

...is there a reason why? I've been on Flagyl and Cipro so many times I'm excited about something new I guess. My GI just put me on it yesterday because, shocker, Pentasa alone isn't doing anything for me. I'm curious if anyone is still on Xifaxan - has it worked for anyone? It's been, what, 6 weeks on Pentasa: my nose and mouth ulcers are markedly worse, I've had a thrilling episode of uveitis, and I've seen literally no improvement in my intestinal symptoms in spite of cutting sugar, gluten, and dairy from my diet. I'm not seeing anything like "Oh wow this is a wonder drug" on the boards, so I'm curious to hear from people who have been on it or looked into it.

I was put on xifaxin when my GI thought I had SIBO and flagyl and cipro weren't working. I didn't have any terrible side effects from it but I also remember that it didn't seem to do very much for me. It turns out I didn't have SIBO though.
