I want to write a kids' book about Crohn's

So, I am a children's librarian and I've been looking for some good picture books for kids to explain Crohn's. Trouble is, aside from Toilet Paper Flowers, there aren't many.

I want to know what parents, teachers, caregivers, etc. would like to see in a kids book. What ages should it be geared to? What issues should be covered? What are some of your stories about kids with Crohn's?

My son, age 11, won't even look at "Toilet Paper Flowers". It's just too girly in his mind, I guess. Something geared toward middle-school, and unisex would work for him.
