i must say if i have ever been depressed, it is now. i have a mammogram wednesday and an apt. with the breast surgeon on thursday. joy. they think i have inflammatory breast cancer which is suppose to be common in those with auto immune disorders. now wondering if its from the remicade. after we find the results we will decide if the dose will be doubled or not. crohns or cancer? im pretty sure ill choose crohns at this point, how about you?

I'm sorry to hear you have to deal with this, I've read a few of your posts before and it seems as if your going through a lot at the minute. My thoughts are with you x

hi there i hope and prey that it isn't breast cancer i am so sorry you are going through this right now. my hopes and prayers are with you.

I'm hoping things turn out ok for you - maybe it is 'just' some type of infection vs a cancer....

Didn't you recently start Remicade? If so, I wouldn't think it would cause problems so fast - unless you are having a reaction to it which is causing the problems.

Good luck and please let us know how you do!...oh - the mammogram has gotten 'gentler' - at least where I got mine done - still squeezes, but not as badly.....

I am so sorry to read this. I certainly hope it is not cancer.

I am sending lots of thoughts and prayers your way.

You poor thing, you just can't catch a break! This is horrible, I'm so sorry to hear this. Whatever the case, I'm hoping you can make a full recovery and feel better very soon. Please keep us posted, and I will keep you in my thoughts.

Could be just an infection or mastitis, not necessarily inflammatory breast cancer. That's a pretty rare form of breast cancer. Here's a link to Mayo Clinic information on the condition.

Be sure to tell your tech that you are nervous, most people are when they are getting a mammogram (I do this for a living) but let the tech know you would like her to be extra-gentle with you. They may offer a pad there, we have one called a MammoPad, it's a foam cushion we put under the breast. Makes it a little easier on you. Be sure to ask :)

So sorry to hear about this. I hope the mammogram shows it's nothing. Thinking of you and sending many thoughts your way!
