I have a temporary ileostomy, and over the last few weeks have had some problems with my anus region. I feel like I have sores or something around it. Not exactly sure what it is, showed my GI and he wasnt sure either. Told me to take baths in epsom salts lol. It isnt constant, it might be there for a week then feel better for a little bit - comes and goes.
What could this be? Could I get hemerrhoids or fissures or something like that even while having an ilesostomy? Or is it something else?
Anyone have experience with this?
I am scheduled to have my ileostomy reversed in like a month so I really want to make sure this isnt a big problem.
