Hi all-

I'm hunting down a rogue agent in my diet that has given me a couple of unpleasant nights with a sore (high pressure sensation) stoma and make by it retract, going flush with the skin and lopsided. No blockage evident as stoma is passing waste fine.

My guess is butternut squash. I generally have a fairly balanced but very restricted diet so there aren't too many options for the culprit. I was just wondering if anyone has had trouble with butternut squash as it seems a good one to eat, much like sweet potato which I eat quite a lot of.

While I'm here- if anyone experiences the same trouble, suggestions on how to bring it back to normal are welcome!

Thanks

David

I had a holistic doctor at one time who tested me and said I was allergic to butternut squash so I avoided it. Everyone is different though.

I don't think i'v eaten butternut squash since my surgery, but sweet potato is kinda similar and I do have to watch how much I eat because I find it can cause cramps. I think it's due to the thick fiber rich nature of the vegetable, causes the gut to flex harder and stress all that scar tissue
