Well I have decided to get the bag I can't suffer anymore I can't go to the toilet properly I feel like crap and I want my life back remicade isn't doing much I'm still pooping bits of bowel and blood and don't think the 3rd infusion will do much as I have bits of bowel coming out and my cold sore thingy on the corners of my mouth just keeps coming back its like I get an infection after every infusion so its goodbye bowel and colon
I'm done getting the bag

May be worth waiting a little bit longer. I didnt improve until my 4th infusion. I think waiting another month or 2 just to see will be better in the long run, at least you will have given it time to see if it worked. Hate to think that you will look back and think what if you did leave it a little longer

the cold sore thingy isn't due to the remicade. I have been getting mine about the same time every year for about 5 years before my remicade started (actually started yesterday!). While I haven't had a bag for a long time, and certainly understand the relief you seek, I would rather have my diarrhea than have to change an appliance. In some instances it does take more time or a second med such as imuran to finally take care of things. If the stricture is in the rectum, they can also do a balloon dilatation to open things up a lttle. Lots of options to try first.

Although I don't know your bowel problems etc...... I just wanted to say that getting a bag was the best thing to happen to me. It gave me my life back. I would much rather change an appliance once in aqhile at my convenience than have to run to the bathrooms all day long and be in pain and not have a life beyond that. I have never regretted it.
