Ok, so im new and have posted before. But something new came up and im really really freakin out here.
This morning, was like any other normal morning except the last 'run' to the bathroom. My stool was all WHITE.
I have NEVER EVER had white stool before EVER. I dont think it was caused by what I ate since yesterday I ate what I normally do and it has never given me problems before.
I know I have read about white stool and that it could be a blockage by my liver. I guess that's what im scared is happening with me.
My question I guess would be, has anyone else had White stools with crohns? and if so was it due to a liver blockage or something totally different?
I tried calling my GI they said not to worry since my gastroscopy/colonoscopy is scheduled for next week. But im so scared :(

I don't have advice for you as that is a new one by me. I just want to send you good thoughts and a hug. Not knowing and being scared sucks. Did the gi have any useful thoughts for you beyond don't worry? Personally, I would be tempted to call a gp just for a chance at a better answer.

Call your gi back and tell him you are very worried by this and ask ofr a possible explanation apart from don't worry.
Its very easy for the medical people to say this as they don't suffer through it. Its well within your rights to ask again and again till you get an answer.
Hope you do get somewhere hun. Let us know what they say.

i have had solid stools that were white on teh outside, covered in mucous. But never had white stools unless it was from Barium!! EW!!!!

i would def call your GI or another dr and tell them your concerns again. And try and get an explantion out of them.

That was the first thing they asked was if I recently had a barium test done. Nothing has changed. Im not taking anything so that's not the cause, nor have I taken anything recently.
My diet has remained the same. I haven't changed it at all because I want the docs to see whats going on. So im doing nothing to help until I find out what is wrong.
They did say if anything else changes in the meantime to go straight to the ER but other than that they werent really worried.
I dont have a GP so that's out of the question too :(
I've read it could be a blockage, or even malasorption. Since I am loosing a lot of weight and it does seem that everything I eat goes straight through and out the other end maybe its just that. (keeping fingers crossed).
