im scared!

I just left the er and I have severe uti/yeast infection. I've had such bad luck before with this they wanted to admit me but I said no bc the hospital sucks and I only went bc its closer to my house then the one my gi is at. They also did xrays and i have stool stuck in my colon and they are worried it will not let anything pass bc my bm are so thin and it will be blocked. I called my gi n I'm waiting on a call back I'm so scared right now. Should I be worried or am I over reacting?

awww hon, I feel for ya. First, breathe-the slow deliberate in thru the nose out thru the mouth kind. Second, all will be well. Third, start sipping water-this will help with the stool and it will just plain make you feel better. Fourth, all will be well. Hope this all resolves itself quickly.

Did they give you anything for the uti/yeast infection? UTIs suck A LOT and yeast infections aren't fun either. Isn't cranberry juice supposed to be helpful with UTIs? So the hospital was worried about an obstruction? So far things are still passing through, slowly but not a full obstruction it sounds like. Not that you want to let it get there though. Keep drinking water is a good suggestion. Don't know how your eating has been lately but maybe you could try pureeing your food for now and focus on more of a mush/liquid intake until your GI calls you back? Obviously head back to the ER if things change and not for the better. I don't think you're overreacting at all and I hope your GI gets a hold of you soon.

Thank you crabby. BTW what is your name? You are always so sweet and encouraging for me, I really appreciate that. It's 4 am and still no call back! I can't sleep bc the pain so I guess ill be calling in the am. Thanks for the quick responses you guys. I always feel like I'm over reacting but get scared when i hear new words. I got my antibiotic filled so hopefully some relief soon

I'm Savannah. No sleep until 8 this morning my gi called this morning wants to try miralax once a day but is concerned about my c diff returning bc of the antibiotics I'm going to be on so I guess I'm screwed either way!

Does anyone know the warning signs of c diff? Last time I didn't even know i had it until I was in the er and they did a stool sample before my colonoscopy but ended up cancelling it bc c siff was positive. I even had blood test and a sample taken at my Dr office but nothing. So im not really sure what to look out for incase the antibiotics do make it return. Id hate to have that again all I really remember is bleeding a lot. Any suggestions?
