In a desperate situation

I am just about to run out of prednisone. I talked to my doctor yesterday. They were supposed to call in a new prescription. They haven't and I can't go cold turkey. I called who was on call but they haven't called back

How much do you have left? If need be, you may need to call back or even take a trip into the office to make sure to get a hold of them. I think I'd probably call them back first though to see if you can get somebody...

Update: I have not received any call yet about a refill. This is something incan not go cold turkey on

Cant you go the last pharmacy you went last time to take it and ask as a favours if they can give you some without prescriptions?

It's difficult with this being Labor Day weekend. Many pharmacies (if not all here in the US) will be closed on Monday. That's why it's so important to at least get Ron through until at least Tuesday. Needless to say, this is why he's so worried about making sure he has enough medication until then.

I too have been through this same situation before and understand his frustration. I hope somebody will be able to do something in the morning to at least get him through the next couple of days...
