My daughter was admitted into the hospital on thursday the 12th for dehydration. She was diagnosed with UC on 12/15/11 and was started on pentasa at that time, unfortunately pentasa has quit working, since being admitted in the hospital she has been on iv fluids nonstop and getting steroids by iv every 6 hours and since yesterday antibiotics by iv every 8 hours, still no improvement so the doctor has decided that she will probably start remicade in 48 hours, any advice on some of the side effects that we should expect? Thanks for any information.

I don't have any experience with Remicade but perhaps you could also ask your question in the Remicade forum...

Also if you pop by the parent's forum and ask there you will find parent's with children that are on Remicade or have had experience with it.
