I've been on prednisone and while it did help this pain a little at the start when I was taking 40mg it's not helping anymore. I was wondering does anyone experience this horrible pain and got rid of it? It's really ruining my life my eyesight is blurry because of it.

Moose.

As someone who's had a lot of EIM "eye issues", my recommendation would be to have your vision checked. Certainly uveitis is a common complication of CD, and can lead to impaired vision if not actively treated..

Thanks for your reply, I've had my eyes checked and they always come back clear and I still have the eye symptoms its strange.

So I have a question regarding eye problems with Crohns.

Ellie, did you go see a Doc about your eye issues and get treatment?

Just wondering if treatment works very well if the cause is Crohns, and not infection or something else?

I had two runs of eye antibiotics for my eye, and nothing helped until I had resection surgery. The problem is back with my eye constantly running and sore. I can also tell that I'm still having a Crohns flare, so they go together.

Any suggestions?

Hi Ellie I've been on antibiotics, steroid eye drops, prednisone, tried painkillers nothing gets rid of this eye pain is by far the worst symtom and really ruins my life. Don't know what to do. If its related to crohns I wonder if they can do anything more.

Some meds give you blurry vision. Check side affects of the ones you are taking. They definitely cause this for me.

I had the blurry vision and eye pain before taking the meds. It's a difficult symptom to deal with. I've seen 4 eye doctors in total even a private one which cost me over a 1000 pounds and still no luck. I'm desperate to get to the bottom of it.

Moose:

Are you having a flare with the eye problems? Does the eye problem go away when you are in remission?

Just trying to figure out if there's anything that can be done for it if the eye problems are a symptom of the disease and is an extraintestestinal manifestation of the disease?

Has anyone gotten treatment that worked for this?

The eye pain is usually there all the time, I was recently diagnosed with crohns so I suppose I'm wondering if if has been linked, I'm on prednisone as starting treatment and it helps a little with the pain but doesn't get rid of it.

Hi, how have u been? And did u find a solution? It is almost 3 months that I have a blurry vision and eventual eye pain.
Today everything got worse... I am bleeding a lot, vomiting... But the eye pain is the worst part!
Eye doc gave me drops and it made better for the past month. But today it is terrible
Are u taking anything for that ?

Hi I still experience intense eye pain and its almost been two years. Sometimes it's worse and others times its better. I use eye drops but this only temporarily helps the problem it still comes back. I'm yet to find a permanent solution. In guessing if I achieve remission with the crohns it will improve.
