irritation after elimination

Hey everyone happy new year - may 2010 bring health and happiness to us all!

I was wondering if anyone else experiences irritation in the anal lining? after they goto the bathroom? It feels like that area is sore and irritated but it feels like it goes up into me a bit so I wonder if it my muscles/tissues are weak there?

I use hemmorhoid wipes sometimes to ease the irritation and also something called balneol which feels nice, but I don't know what's causing this? I started taking L-glutamine to have a healthy intestinal lining hopefully that helps.

i deffinately have that...Perhaps you have a bit of internal hemmorhoids? There are some hemmorhoid creams that come with an insertion tube so that you can use them internally, maybe that would help?

Also, everyone here swears by Calmoseptine cream, i haven't tried it yet, but apparantly it's amazing. :)

I never knew of internal hemorrhoids but if that's the case I should get the insertion tube, is that and the cream you mention available over the counter?

Should be. :)
The names i can think of are Anusol and preparation H. I believe you can get them in suppository form too, might have to try a variety to see what works. I had trouble getting Calmoseptine over the counter, a lot of people have mentioned having to get the pharmacy to order it. I ordered mine online at Well.ca (a canadian distributor), it can also be found on Amazon. :)

Hope this helps, and you can get some relief!

After running around looking everywhere for calmoseptine, I found it. Now it feels like someone lit a match under my butt. I bought this to relieve the irritation but now I feel like I have a full on flame under there ahhh.

External use only......It should feel cool and tingly. You didn't accidently buy Bengay???? :) Just kidding. Hope you feel better.

Well I did put it on the anus but I didn't insert it inside like a suppository. Woohh, the website says first 30 seconds it burns on raw skin, try first 30 minutes! It says after 2 times it should be healing and won't burn I hope that is true.

You are probably just raw....Ouch! It really makes a great barrier. I put it on a bug bite, and it was stuck around my cuticles like glue!

I hope it works, because I see all these amazing comments about how it is a crohnie's best friend and this crohnie totally needs a butt buddy. Ok, that sounds sexual hah.

i just got mine in the mail today, and i sure need it! Haven't tried it yet, but i hope it works.

Sorry it didn't work too well for you, hopefully it starts feeling better soon!

Tryyyyyyy iiiittt!!!!!!!
Full report needed!

NGNG - I am so hopeful that your butt will fall in love with Calmo. I always wash really good and completely dry before I put mine on. It seriously has healed a painifully chapped butt (and even swollen from the squirts) overnight.

"And then the calmo comes along,
gives the strength to carry on,
and you cast your zinc aside,
and you know you will survive!"

:p LOVE IT!!! I wasn't raw, but deffinately sore.

Calmo is for the bum like Icyhot is for sore muscles. :)
