Is it all in my head?

I am very overweight. And lately I have been bleeding down there more frequently than usual and I guess that's due to the spicy food. I get mucus and blood. And the sight of food makes me feel sick even though I don't vomit. My stomach gives me signs that I'm hungry (rumbling sound) but I can't stand foood. What the hell is wrong with me? Am I becoming anorexic? Do I have an eating disorder?

I went to my GP who said that I've been to her about this issue before but nothing came of the sigmonoidoscopy and I need further tests to rule out IBD now.

Are you getting referred to a GI specialist for further testing.

First, it's not all in your head. Mucus and blood can be from a few different things. It may not be IBD, but it is real. I hope the consultant you see will be able to give you some relief. In the meantime, welcome to the forum!

Yup seeing a consultant about it soon.
It's definitely not in your head. Your head doesn't make you bleed. The next logical step is to see the GI consultant. A sig doesn't reach very far so it's not that conclusive of a test.

Please keep us updated as to what they find and how you're doing.
