issues with my anal area

Well i'm new to this website and i have been having anal leakage associated with burning, itching and even a few cuts all around my butt and even all the way up my crack.
this is so embarressing for me to talk about but i have no clue what is going on.
I do have a problem with being constipated alot and having to strain to use the bathroom.
I have no clue on how to help myself on relieving my problems. I've tried stool softeners, fiber pills and even drinking plenty of water. Nothing seems to help.
I did however have some palp's removed back in 2006 from my colon but my problems went away up until a few months ago.
i'm only 22, could someone please help me.:confused2:

Hello Kelms,
That must be a very painful and troublesome set of symptoms for you.
Perhaps you should be seekng some help from your doctors who will be quite
knowledgeable on the subject, especially a GI doctor.
Family doctors too are used to dealing with problems like yours which can be fairly common.
Hope you will get some help soon and start to feel better.
Hugs and best wishes,
Trysha

Hi Kelms

I don't doubt this is embarassing and frustrating to deal with. It's really important that you talk to your GI about the leakage. It also sounds like you have a fissure which can be really painful and often caused by straining. You might want to see if your doctor can prescribe you Diltiazem, which offers both relief and healing. In the meantime, try having a bath with Epsom salts, which can also provide some relief.

You might want to do a search for "constipation" on this site---there are several threads from people dealing with it and there might be some helpful advice for you there. Or post your question around dealing with it in the General or Treatment section of the forum.

Good luck, and I hope you find some relief some.

Kismet

Hello Kelms32 and welcome to the forum here..
I agree with Trsha...you really must check with your Doctor first.
It could be an over all dietary issue or it may not...but I would get over an embarrassment and make an appointment with him as soon as is possible. Untold damage can be done with continuous constipation and straining.
Take care...
