So I have had this awfull thing for three years and was just on the verge of diagnosis.I was taken in to the clinic for a colonoscopy last month and it was pretty uncomfortable at the end when it felt like the GI pushed in very hard several times. I know he took several biopsies and at the end of the test he spent quite a while doing something in there which since Ive had a few of the se tests I was quite surprised.
The next week after i had terrible discomfort and was getting ready to go back until monday last i got up and the pain has gone. I mean the pain Ive had for three years has gone. Lets say if it was at 90% well now it is at 15%.
I cant understand what has happened but as you can guess i am delighted and lost for words.
Im still taking the Asacol and Amytriptyline as |I dont thinking just stopping would be good for me but i will take advice first.
I have recieved a letter to go back to see the GI in four weeks and I am just uphoric at the moment.
Am I in remission ?
Has anybody had a similar experience ?
Is this temporary ?
What could the GI have done to make this happen ?
I feel really pretty good and Im just amazed by the whole thing, Ive been holding off telling anyone as i have been expecting a return of crappiness.
All the GI said was that the lower colon looked quite clear, he is arranging to look at the upper bowel and stomach.
So if anybody has had this happen or can explain this please do let me know.
Peter
