its all gone!!!!!

Ok short version I was diagnosed with crohn’s at the end of last year after months of intense pain and vomiting I had a very rough time and spent months in and out of hospital just to get help not to mention the hell I went through when i was finally diagnosed and all the steroids, antibiotics, pain killers and other medication they piled me with.
On the 6th of December i was taken down for emergency surgery due to my bowel perforating because of a blockage I had parts of both my small and large bowel removed.
I have had a few problems due to the surgery but nothing major, I had a colonoscopy 3 weeks ago to take samples and pictures to help decide which medication I would be put on, i got my results a couple of days ago and the news was fantastic I have NO MORE CROHNS :ylol: the surgery removed it ALL so as of yesterday I have no medication well apart from B12 injections.
Obviously its not forever and it will come back but for the moment I’m over the moon, my life will never be 'normal' again but for now I can concentrate on restoring some order in my hectic life.

Wow I am so happy for you! Go to a club, have a drink, Take a long walk and go Ride a bike. Do what ever you couldn't before, and remember to keep a smile on your face. You deserve some happiness and now is your time.

That is great news and enjoy being free of it and making a great recovery. Sometimes it is great for all of us to be reminded there are some really successful surgeries and it is worth it !

Thank you so much for sharing this! It is so important to hear about people success with this disease! Congrats on your recovery! May it last forever. :)

Thank you. Ive already had a glass of wine 2 celebrate :) i think im still in a bit of shock i didnt expect it.

Every couple ov months unless i notice any changes then i have a number to ring for an emergency appointment. It was a total shock because they thought i had developed colitis so i honestly thought i was going to start medication. Obviously they have removed a large amount of bowel so i have problems what they thought was colitis turned out to be the bile not mixing correctly but thats easily solved.
