I saw your message in the live chat today Jim (POPS). I'm glad you're still with us and I hope your surgery for a single bypass on 8/27/13 (this Tuesday) goes well. You're in all of our thoughts and prayers.

Message by Jim in chat today:

"Hi all, I'm in the hospital but not for crohns this time. I had a heart attack last Monday and they will be doing "Singal By Pass" surgery on 8-27. I was really bad off Monday and Tuesday, my wife did cpr for over 20 min. before the EMT's came and it took them 5 shocks to get a heart bet. I'm feling pretty good right now and will let you know as time goes by."

Keep us posted whenever you can Jim. We're all thinking of you! :ghug::hang::ghug:

I hope that you get better soon Jim,my thoughts and prayers are with you. Stay strong and keep us posted on your surgery and progress.

Jim came back into the live chat briefly and wanted me to tell everyone "HI" for him. :)

Jim(Pops) !! I'm thinking of you today tomorrow and in the days to come. I hope surgery goes well and that you and your son are back to racing in no time! :hug;

Here's a heart for you Pops <3

This could be why I didn't get a reply from my msg to ya! Hope to hear from you soon. Praying for you!

I want to thank ALL of you for all the kind words of support. I had a good nights sleep, I'm waiting for them to bring breakfest. (I feel really good this morning) The food at this hospital is so good, and they give you all you want. Being I have crohns they have told me to just come up with what I want for breakfest, lunch and dinner and they will make it for me, how cool. Yesterday morning I had 3 eggs, toast,hash browns, muffen, Hot choc. oatmeal and bread pudding. and milk. I'm getting stronger by the min. and feel almost normal at this point. Can't wait to have the bypass so I can get back in the race car again, the last race we were at was the West Grand Nanls. I took 3rd in my class and my son took 2nd in the sprint class. I had a pretty harry run during that race, a young guy thought he would slam doors with me to get me to back off but I just gave it back to him and he hit the wall and was out of the race.........don't mess with the A.A.R.P. race team....lmao.

I'll keep you posted,

Also, I pray that all my friends here are in good health and enjoying life.

Jim POPS

I just got off of the phone with Jim. He wanted me to tell you all he is doing well and misses everyone on the forum and is looking forward to chatting with everyone again very soon. Bypass surgery is tomorrow. He will be in the hospital for two days then released for a few weeks of recovery.

He sounds like he is in good spirits and really living it up in the hospital. For those of you familiar with Jim this doesn't surprise us LOL :p

His attitude about life Crohn's and his current situation is so inspiring.
