This is probably a very dumb question, but I can't seem to get a straight answer when I google it.
What is the difference betwwen joint and muscle pain?
I have pain in my legs that goes to my upper thighs and some days I can't even walk they throb so bad. But when I touch and push into my legs I don't feel it, so it is very deep in.
But the pain in my mid and lower back hurts to the touch.

It could be your sciatica acting up, I get pains like that from time to time and its practically unbearable.
There are stretches you can do to help the pain, but they aren't exactly comfortable. I had my boyfriend massage my leg and hip, it hurt a lot worse the next day but it was worth it because I was fine after that and haven't had an issue since

I will do some research on sciatica. I don't know a lot about it, but I thought that it went through the buttocks as well.

I don't really feel it in my butt, its all in my hip and thigh. I know you mentioned hip pain in another thread, could be related

Joint pain is usually mostly localized near the joint. Muscle and/or nerve pain can go down the leg. Have you tried any stretches and/or heat?

A few times a week my legs get really week and I have to sit down for a minute or I might fall over. No numbness.
When I wake up in the morning the pain is unbearable. I find if I sleep more than 5 hours the pain is worse.
I am currently off work and I am going to try to return next week. Sitting up at work all day kills my back and by the time I get home I am absolutely done. The only position that provides any relief is when I recline in the lazy boy. I think maybe because it takes the pressure off my back.
During my last Crohn's flare up I was on prednisone. I had never felt better, the pain in my back and legs was minimal.

Well, to me, it Sounds like you and AFIDZ are on the right track with sciatica. Have you had an MRI? Or can you get one? Maybe a referral to a Physical Therapist??
