I have only been recently diagnosed with crohns after months of pain from recurring anal fissures. I had a colonoscopy on Thursday and they found ulceration in my bowel a fissure and an abscess. The only other symptom I have is tiredness. Doc prescribed predsol retention enemas for fissure and abscess and I am to see him next week re: treatment for crohns. I don't have any of the more extreme symptoms described here and wondered if there was anyone else with symptoms like mine?

Hi there Darren, welcome to the forum :bigwave:. I don't have the same problems you do but nevertheless the tiresome is a pain too and it is crohns related.

Ask your doc to check your b12 levels, and iron. Hopefully someone can come to your rescue with the same problems.

Welcome! Pen is right sadly we all suffer pain and fatigue that is a natural side effect of the disease. Best wishes for health.

Hi Darren and a big warm welcome. Sorry to hear about your diagnosis but it's good you've got some answers and treatment can begin. Pop over to the Fissures, Fistulas and Abscesses sub forum. ( I must learn how to post links on my iPhone! )
There are lots of others with similar issues to yours who can offer insights and advice.

Hi Darren and welcome to the forum, am really pleased you have decided to join us :) I feel lucky that I have not had to deal with the added pain of fistulas and abcesses but many have so please check out the sub forum mentioned by Helen. Definetly have your vitamin levels checked, the most common side effect of a B12 deficiency is fatigue.... I do hope things improve for you soon and let us kow how you get on with your appt, make sure you take a list of questions with you so you don't forget to ask anything, it is important that you don't come away from the appt feeling unsure about things.
