It wasn't too bad though I was all clear at home, but kept running to the bathroom at the office. They gave me a copy of the report with pictures.
Congested mucosa in the entire examined colon. Biopsied
Congested mucosa in the terminal ileum. Biopsied
Non- bleeding internal hemorrhoids.

She said she was surprised to find 3 small polyps, because of my age....28.
She's thinking Crohn's, but I have to schedule a date and wait for the biopsy results so we can discuss my results.

What exactly is congested mucosa?

The Mucousal layers of your intestines are inflamed and producing excess mucous. It's like the stuff from your nose but digestive mucous smells vaguely sweet in my experience. The colorectal polyps could be really bad and I hope the biospies on them show up as benign.

Glad everything went well for you : warn 81.
I had the same thing yesterday and had to use the bathroom at the endoscopy
unit several times before the procedures.
That peglyte is diablolical and there really should be more research into palatable alternatives.
I agree with what Orchid has written to you.
Your diagnosis will depend on the biopsy results.
Please keep in touch and let us know how you make out.
My scopes resulted in treatment for esophageal stricture, removal of some polyps and also surgery is being scheduled for a tumour he could not remove.
The crohn's is showing some redness but he said it is looking better.
So looks as if the peglyte will come back into my life sooner than later!....
Feel better soon
Hugs and best wishes

Sup warn81! I completely feel with you on this... I'm 25 and after 6 months of poking and such my doctors best guess is a food allergen, which may have given me permanent damage?!? (yea, I haven't concluded with that answer).

If you are comfortable with it let me know how the biospy turns out! From my experience my doctor actually argued with two of the biospies that returned. I had gotten a endoscopy/colonoscopy and with the doctors own eyes he noticed my duodenum was flat in appearance (#1 symptom for celiac, but hey, who knows right?) but my biopsy came back that the duodenum was healthy and normal.

Needless to say, I'm undiagnosed and its driving me nuts.

ezgoindude, yeah, I had an allergy test done awhile back and I was sensitive to a lot of foods.

After the colonoscopy on Friday my stomach won't stop gurgling and making noise....I wonder if it was the prep that is causing this. I have to go back to work tomorrow.
