I have all but given up red meat unless it's grass fed and free range as I had major problem's with even lamb I noticed some gluten free and so on kangaroo burgers and skewers just wondering if anyone has tried kangaroo before and how did you handle it I read that kangaroo is very lean and not as acidic as other red meats

I guess I will have to defer to the Aussies on this one. I have seen a few odd creatures in the woods around here, but have never had a shot at a kangaroo yet.

I've eaten Kangaroo meat quite a few times when I lived in Australia, and for me it had much the same negative effect as beef and lamb. But as you know, food intolerances and IBD are different for everyone, so you may as well try it and see. More than anything, it's more expensive than other meats.

I used to eat kangaroo meat quite often when I lived in Sydney (interesting you said it was expensive Phoenix I always found it quite cheap at my supermarket, especially sausages) but I haven't tried it since I was diagnosed .. the steaks can be quite tough which might cause a problem, but it is very lean with little fat. If you do try it my advice is chew, chew chew.
