Hope to find everyone well ❤❤

Thats quite an undertaking Mandy....dont be working too hard you know what that can do...
Summers heat is less at the moment and it is a pleasant morning here
Have to call the dentist...for no good reason my gums are inflamed and sore...teabags really help ..
Have a good day Everyone...

Trysha.Im doing the easy bits, choosing plants saying where i want what ,bit of painting etc he doing the hard landscaping and heavy moving. Sounds fair to me 🙂..

Mandy...good to hear that...as long as you are walking and sitting....no heavy stuff.
Its a l..o..n..g weekend here...everyone goes to their cottages up north or elsewhere.....peasants
like me stay home and do nothing....
Winning...

Whats a long weekend??
Im either working the sat sun and off on a bank holiday mon, or off the sat sun and working the bank holiday mon...mmm not had a long weekend for at least 4 yrs if not about 15 if i include my last job😟
Oh to be able to retire....thats looking less likely as the powers that be keep upping the retirement age. The set of b#####ds😡
On a more cheerful note ...im still winning 😀😀

perhaps the hazy lazy days of summer has caused tongue tie.........
Or maybe the terrible shock of people being gunned down in shopping centres in El Paso and elsewhere.
I remember El Paso in cowboy films where badmen congregated.......

Terrible sad news. Also some low life threw a six year old child off the 6th floor of the Tate Modern in London yesterday. It was a stranger as far as I know. The poor little soul is critical. His poor mother witnessed it all....What is wrong with people !!!!

We need more medical support for mentally ill individuals. This is what happens when someone belongs in the psychiatric ward and doesn't get a spot to stay in. People like that need to be put away somewhere that they cannot possibly harm others. JMO I think anyone who does such a thing is out of their bloody mind. My prayers go out to the victim and the family. This possibly could have been prevented, if the proper help was available. I'm not sticking up for the perpetrator, but they must need some kind of mental help. Who even thinks one up that bad? It's absolutely mind blowing to see such things happening in the world. I hope you all stay safe.

Getting through a few problems right now....trying to stay cheerful... and upbeat...
Dental appointment tomorrow...new dentist ...my other retired to work at the dental college...so
a new experience awaits.
Acupuncture is proving a great success right now....GI symptoms under control.....no gout....no migraines...
no drugs...
Appointment next week with GI....he will not be happy at continued weight loss..neither am I.
On the bright side a few good shopping expeditions have been very uplifting found some great bargains...
Anyone else had any shopping sprees to report...
Hows Junior Mandy...
Winning.....

Good to hear from you, Trysha. I'm very glad the acupuncture is helping. The dentist... Don't we all love going there? Not I said the fly! It's super hot in the valley and everyone around here seems super cranky. I'm also trying to stay upbeat, however difficult.

I think I'll be in the office for the rest of the day minding my own business. I hope everyone else is doing as best as can be expected. :) Winning!

Hi all. Glad u doing well with the accupuncture Trysha🙂 good luck with new dentist. ❤

Chris try n smile a happy smile at least once a day, thats my prescription. 🙂

Carol..i for 1 is not on exotic hols ☹
Tho i am trying to beat depression at the mo, beat i will !!!🙂

Love n hugs to all ❤❤

Sorry about the depression Mandy.....having a few bouts myself and it can be hard to deal with it.
I find it helpful going for walks sometimes when feeling up to it....Im not going to be beaten by crohns...or anything else.
The dental visit was good....losing bone 🦴 🍖 around one of the implants....the dentist said to watch it....how can i do that when its out of sight...?.
Good news is I am feeling better healthwise thanks to the physio and acupuncture.
Wish he had a needle to stir up positive thoughts.....for my GI appointment.
Nearly got blown away today...such windy weather..thought i would take off to the skies like the kids on their bikes in ET...over the hills and far...far away....
My orchid is losing its flowers...what can i do to get it blooming again....
Winning........

I think your orchid might like some music, Trysha... perhaps Mozart? Actually, my mother says they are quite sensitive to humidity levels. You might want to check that out. I'm a gardener but mom is on a way higher level. ;) My best advice is to never fertilize a plant that's in a state of shock (too dry, too wet etc). It's been a lousy day here weather wise... Just plain old too humid. My best to all!

You could be right Chris...better set up the record player......
At the moments its exposed to indirect sunlight and TV....maybe its the poor programmes..
Hope you had a good day Mandy and maybe feeling a bit better.....
Winning......

Thanks Trysha ..glad you are feeling a bit better and the dentist went ok. Sorry to hear you suffer from it too, its a real bummer when it strikes. I think that theres a light at the end of the tunnel and il go down there n turn it on...

Weather here on friday was really wet but so warm too. Thunder storms through out the day. With really bright sunny spells.

Love to all ❤❤

Is that a three wheel bike you have Carol.....
Mandy..i am taking a VitB Complex one a day....it helped me before so heres hoping to stop moping
in corners.... trying to keep busy but I keep losing energy
Plus I'm getting some awful nausea attacks just looking at food...sometimes i have to leave the 🏬 store.
Always something....
Feel better
Winning

Where have all the flowers gone?.
..? Disappeared to climes unknown......
Have a good day Everyone
Winning......

Mandy....you must be the red rose at the end of the row....hope its not the last rose of summer.....
Winning....

If I'm honest I'm a wee bit wilted today....I wasn't going to mention it,but my darling hubby is having a PEG (feeding tube) put in this morning. He's been having tests and treatment (radiotherapy & chemo) for a couple of months for throat cancer, and the tube is in case his swallowing gets bad and he loses weight and is too sick to have surgery. Please don't get in a tizz, all of you.I know you care and we're coping well.Treatment ends mid Sept.and we've been assured it's treatable....Back later, off to the shops.

Thats quite a bombshell Carol and you have my support.
Its good to hear it’s treatable and hopefully recovery is not too far off.
Its 5am here and i cant sleep....at least it is very quiet and peaceful
GI appointment later this morning
Winning.......

we're fine thank you my friends.Hoping to get him home tomorrow after his radiotherapy and chemo. It would be silly sending him home early when his treatment is at lunchtime.I'm going in soon as they're going to show me the ropes regarding his PEG. He's got brain fog with the treatment so will forget what he's told...During last night one of the patients in his ward attacked the man in the next bed and spit all over Les's table,so he asked to be moved. Hope I find him hahaha.

Very scary for others when patients run amok.....can happen with unexpected drug reactions.
Your poor husband will be so glad to get back to his own 🛌 bed at home.
Hope you soon learn the ropes re PEG.....
And hope you will both feel better soon.
Cheers,!

I had a go at running water through his PEG but he's still got stitches until tomorrow and it hurt a bit .I might have to strap him down when I do it at home 'cos he's a bit of a wincer at the best of times, especially when I cut his hair......I wouldn't care but I've saved him a LOT of money in the past by doing it at home....ingrate !!!

Give him a plain peppermint...small tablet and tell him its a painkiller and that it will be a painless procedure...i know it can work...dont ask for details.. .helped my brother....
Another time when we were in Northern Michigan he became very ill with epiglottitis...couldnt swallow.
Spent a day and night in the local hospital before getting him back to the motel.
My sister ,who was a nurse and i were perusing the local store for protein ideas and liquids foods when i saw the eggs and bought them.
I whipped up egg in milk and told him it was instant protein i bought at the supermarket..he drank it and said tastes like egg!,,...it was the only food he could swallow plus antibiotics...but he made a rapid improvement..
Its a hard time for you both ...wishing you all the best...
You will become an expert...practise makes perfect.

Nuts of all kinds my favourite foods...candies sometimes...chocolate not....very occasional.
Hope your Mum will improve a bit in the near future Mandy
Hope you continue to master the medical arts Carol..
Winning....

Well he got home late yesterday so a weekend off before the cycle of treatment begins again on Monday. He's doing OK and even walked into town this morning, but his stoma is hurting a bit l.It'll be ok in a day or two though. The fella who attacked the patient on Wednesday night ran amock again on Thurday, smashing the windows etc.Luckily Les had moved down the corridor, and he barricaded the door while it was going on.Can't think why this was allowed to happen again.Lucky (or not) for him he only has me to worry about now.....

Oh my days....i bet he is glad to be home Carol. Crazy people everywhere unfortunately!!
At least Les knows your crazy 🤪..a safe crazy thats not going to harm anyone. 🙂

Thanks Trysha, it dont look good to be honest on the improvement front. Unless they do an op and it acually works. If they will even attempt to do an op that is.❤❤

Poor Taz.....hope he has a swift recovery......
Why do hearing aids cost so much if you want anything half decent......just purchased them...wont be able to afford
to eat for a couple of years at least.....or buy new clothes....or 👠 👟 👞.........etc
Cheers!! Everyone
Winning....

I hear you, Trysha. My father said the same thing when he got his hearing aids. They sure aren't cheap! I think the government should regulate the hearing loss market to keep things affordable. I hope everyone is doing well today. :) Winning?

Hi Everyone , have not been on for a while , laptop died and phone is a pain to post on , Carol hope hubby is doing better and hope everyone is doing a little better in spite of the weather and our Uk friends hope Brexit and Boris is not putting too much stress on ye ,
health wise I am doing ok apart from joint pain and had a little scare with raised liver enzimes , of course I thought the worst and found out a few days ago it was gallstones causing the problem , so have to have gall bladder removed in the near future , anyway winning away here in a miserable cold and showery Ireland ,

Great to see you Tony,I was wondering about you.Gall Bladder op is not a problem, had mine out 4yrs ago,but you might want to look into digestive enzymes to balance things out.....Please don't mention the "B" word,I'm stressed enough.Belly rubs to that lovely Alfie …..

Hi Tony..nice to see you again. Hope all goes well with the gall bladder and you are soon feeling much better❤

Hi to everyone else hope you are all well and keep smiling 🙂🙂🌻

Could use some of your cooler weather Tony.
Sorry to hear you have a gall bladder problem...better out than in..lost mine years ago..big relief.
Best wishes for the surgery and a speedy recovery.
My new hearing aids are invisible and work much better than the previous ones.
I didnt like the look of clunky ones and behind the ear ones....these are much better sliding into each ear mostly out of sight unless someone takes a hard look close up.
Acoustics are much better.
Winning.....

Chris...if your dads aids are not working he should go back to the person who prescribed them...there are all kinds of things the audiology people can do.
He could also get in touch with the makers...they would help.
Are they still under warranty?
Mine were allowing high noise from traffic...the aids were adjusted perfectly to regular noise....by the audiologist
Difficulties with TV sound ...aids adjusted to normal...
I have a remote device which will also control sound...sometimes needed at public lectures etc.
Also any problems are resolved with the three year warranty.
We have to pay for all these things when buying the aids....gets added to the price.
Sounds as if your dad may not have hearing aids optimal for him....he should not accept this state of affairs.
If i was there i would fight the issues with him.......sounds as if he is getting the thin end of the wedge.
Winning.....

Hi Grumpy! I just thought I'd come out of the woodwork and post, and I just saw you did! Hi everybody else. I thought I'd post and let you all know that Sandy and I are doing well. Crohn's wise I think Entyvio is keeping me in decent shape. I have been experiencing gurgling noises from my gut and it has me a bit worried. Last time this happened I ended up with my Crohn's surgery. So I am probably worrying needlessly. I do have a followup with my G.I. that I need to schedule. Nice to talk to you all.

Glad you popped in Doug🙂 also that you and Sandy are doing well. Hope the gurggles are nothing bad, mine usualy are'nt.
Best wishes n love to all❤❤

Hi Doug, say hello to Sandy for me and I'm glad that you're doing okay. Nice to see you! Entyvio seems to be keeping my Crohn's under control as well. Morning all hope you have a great day.

Today is a very good day! Sandy has a friend who is truly disabled and has been fighting for Social Security for years. Sandy has been acting as her representative because she could not afford an attorney. Well, Sandy just got to tell her that she has finally been approved!

Since Doug told me he posted here, I thought I would catch up on reading LOW since I last posted and take a win myself. Hi to all, those who regularly post and those who just came back out of the woodwork! I love the kiddo and cat(o) pics. (Poor Taz. Ninja needs that done too.)
Carol, I'm sorry to hear about Les. My sister Les(lie) that I've talked about with you previously has been through h-e double toothpick with her health lately too. Here's to wishing them both much improved health. She's been thru treatment for breast cancer, and just after (the past couple of weeks) found out she has an enlarged heart, had a mini stroke and has some sort of slow brain bleed and diagnosed with lupus all at the same time. It seems that a lot of us have had problems with family members health as of late. Not to mention that this is a crohn's forum and everyone here has their own issues. (Although mine not an IBD, as most of you know.)
As Doug said, though, both of us are doing ok.
And best of all, tho I can't seem to win at fishing tournaments, I'm winning here. 🏆

Hey Sandy girl..so lovely to see you again🙂🙂
Glad you are doing well.
What sad news for your sister, you n your family❤. I hope that she can recover well from some of the issues besetting her and can be comfortable from the others. God bless her n you all ❤❤

Thanks for your well wishes about my sis folks.
Carol, how is your Les doing? How are you?
Grumpy and Chris, you're safe.
Mandy and others not specifically mentioned here, I don't know if you're safe, he he he.
Trysha, are you able to eat any better? I worry about you. And admire you. (Actually, I admire most, well, all of you.)

Not a good weekend Sandy. But more than halfway through chemo and radiotherapy.Mastering the RIG feeding tube at last and his wound infection is healing.Lots of sleeping, and I mean lots, but as you know I've got a lot of reading to do.It's strange not cooking though, and it will be a long time until his mouth heals from the radiotherapy.....saving my house keeping to buy more books hahaha......

Wee Jaxon starts nursery in a week, oh my where has the time gone?? He will be 21 b4 i know it😱..
