Pulling up my socks again...hope it will last this time....
Its a weary world we live in and a sad one.
We are subject tothe actions of politicians....its a mess in UK.....not much better here..although we dont have Brexit
to contend with....and quite contentious in the US.
Gilbert and Sullivan could really write some musical satire on current world leaders and situations.
I have had too much thinking time lately, waiting room amusement time.....
Although radiology took me in immediately on Wednesday last...big surprise.
Twice i have seen Ufo.....very high in the sky zooming and circling then suddenly disappearing.
Not low enough to see inside.
Good to see all the activity on this page....
Winning.."...

Im pretty convince that we have been and still are visited by aliens...there are so many ancient sites that depict spacemen like carvings and drawings. How would they know of such things if space travel was not a thing of their time, thus did they see aliens and so could then draw/carve their images? Xx

UFO,S 🛸do they really exist or are they highly secret government aircraft ?
Have aliens been to earth in the very distant past ..are they here even now👽 ?
What do you think?
Discuss!!
I think it would be typical of human arrogance to assume we're the only intelligent species in the universe...Maybe they're waiting for us to completely destroy earth before they move in to put things right ?

Whatever I saw was at least three times the area of a football field/soccer field. I can't imagine it being anything the public is informed on. I don't think whatever I saw meant any harm. It seemed to be looking about curiously. It kind of reminds me of a scene from Star Trek though. I will never forget it that's for sure.

I hope everyone is feeling okay. If not, maybe tomorrow will be better. It usually only gets so tough right before it lightens up. I wish you all well.

Chris i think that the aliens may well come visiting to enlighten us ,give us new technology, they maybe even be trying to save us from ourselves as we seem to be going into a self destruct era. If they ment harm id say we would either know it by now or be extinct. As the hieroglyphs from thousands of years ago show astronaut/spacemen pictures. So they have had millenia to be shot of us if they wanted too.Maybe they were the ones who built the pyramids n monolithes we see all over the world. As the people of that time did not have the equipment to do it ??? Mmm maybe we are aliens who the hell knows, or at least even hybrids . Just a thought!!
Hope to find you all well. 💝💖xxx

Aw thanks Chris...
Ye i thought lets have a bit of diversity of topic, sometimes its good to think of something abit more out there than the norm.
Campfire stories are cool, even more so if there is or could be a truth in them.
I have noticed that quite a lot of very young children these days seem to have larger heads than before, is that because they may be developing larger brains to cope with the advances in technology that is comming along, or is it a sign of alien intervention..as they seem to be discribed as having large heads and small bodies. Thus having larger brains denotes more capacity for more intelligence.
Even certain stories in the bible could be telling of aliens visiting if you look at them from that point of view. Some of the prophets are said to have disappeared for days or more and returned with information. I.e Ezekale(think thats how its spelt). Maybe it was God or was it, who really knows ??

Have a good day everyone. Loves n hugs 💖💝

Sincere condolences Chris....may she rest in peace.
It can be so hard to part with our dear ones...one day we will all meet again.
Mandy I think it was Ezekiel had the chariots
of fire
Von Danigan wrote a book about all these things and in it were photographs of ancient runways for space craft
The more we know the less we know...
Winning....

I believe in those I've loved and lost awhile
My eyes I close to see again a loving smile
In memory a voice so dear climbs down the years
Saying softly,Love is here, wipe away those tears......

For Chris and all who've lost a loved one recently.x

Mandy...all hugs very welcome....thanks for the gift..
Brrr,.......temperature suddenly zonked down...get out the winter clothes.....
But ..waait...its going way up up up on Tuesday then zonking down again.....
Winning...

Caught a rotten cold from some careless person(s)......why dont they show more consideration
Instead of coughing and spluttering....a hearty cough can travel 100 mph......with hordes
of nasty infective bacteria and viruses.....people should stay home away from the madding crowds.
Would not mind a ride in a UFO Sandy...as long as it was sightseeing only...
Freezing cold rain today.......
Winning......

Makes me wonder what are the qualifications required to be a Prime Minister.??
Are they Oxford or Cambridge fellows?..
I read that Boris is a clever person with journalistic tendencies..so he seems to have a good brain when it comes to work.
His private life does not belong to the nation.
Returning to acquiring infections if only people would wash their hands frequently it can restrict bacterial and viral
person to person transmission..
The same cannot be said when people cough and sneeze all over us in public places.
its a gloomy October day here with high winds...wont be going out in that....could get blown away and since i dont possess Mary Poppins magic umbrella 🌂 ☔️ staying indoors is the wise option.
Winning.......

I wish I could put an invisible bubble on you Trysha, and also on Les to protect you from all those alien bugs. Actually, on second thought, we should put it on all those aliens, not you. If I could I would transport any of you and yours to whatever scenic restful place in the world you wanted to go.
I don't know where I would go if I could. It's a beautiful sunny fall day here, if I could I would do hours and hours of work in an instant that needs to be done in our yard and gardens and just enjoy it here most likely. In fact, I think I will go work in our gardens.

Happy fall y'all.

Good for you Chris.....who is it?.
We need all the feeders we can get...winter is on the way
Its a cool humid day here with trickly showers of rain.
Bought some really huge bags of carrots and onions...could not resist the price at 1.99$ a bag.
Farm fresh...
The bags were so heavy.about 10kg each. ......managed to fit them on my walker ......made it a bit hard to push but
we must get exercise .....
I make lots of soup and share it sometimes......
Winning.....

Evening all, Sorry I stepped away for a bit. Mandy I hope your mom is better. Trysha I hope that you are feeling better as well. Doug and Sandy I hope that your fishing trip was great the picture is lovely. Carol I hope your visit with you son has been wonderful. Haven't seen a UFO I don't think but have seen unexplained lights and movement in probably the same place as Chris outside of Calgary. Mind you I think Calgary is a little alien..... Winning for now.

I wish Les was up to having home-made soup. For the last week he has been drinking the fortisip drinks and NOT using the peg,so it's definitely a step in the right direction. He's also having scrambled eggs daily and is not as tired as he has been.I'm loving having Scott here but am beginning to dread his departure in 10days.Trying not to dwell on it though....Here we are in the first week of October and Christmas is gradually sneaking into the shops..Cards,gift wrap.baubles.decorated trees, chocolates and perfumes etc.etc. I despair. Roll on January.

That Is good news to hear Carol....
Les appears to be making good progress, eggs are a really good food source in many ways....soup will come later.
Its always good to have family support even temporarily...nothing lasts forever.
It is hard when they must return to other duties.
Lets hope it wont be too long before you go on walks again.....things do take time though..
Winning".

Hi grumpy.. nice to see you 🙂
Thank you, my mum is doing a little better tho we fear she wont ever really walk much again. At least she is still batting 🏏and back to moaning.. she must feel better 🙂💝. You maybe right on Calgary 😀😀

Carol it can be a slow process, Les seems to be doing well tho. Like my mum he is still batting🏏x

Trysha you be sure to send me some soup please..that sure sound a bargin to me all those kilos for $1.99🙂💝

Good day today. Got our truck back from the body shop. All the little dents and scratches from my accident are fixed. (I had the kayaks loaded on a ladder rack on the back of the truck and I hit the sign saying no vehicles taller than 9 feet at a local drive through!) The sign came crashing down on me. We have had the truck since February and this happened! I learned my lesson. No more hauling kayaks in the drive through! It looks like new again. Monday we get the windshield replaced and all will be good again.

Oh no Carol you have broken my record of 26 times....damn it il have to shout the begger 🦅(nearest to a pigeon i could find)back again so i can beat you. So it begins... pigeon wars . Or maybe handbags at dawn if you prefer??😀😀😀😀

Just like when some of my family visits...can hardly get into their rooms
..and the more shopping they do the more
Llittered it gets.
Some are neat as a pin......we are a big family.
Love the visits..time is so short...have to make the most of it.
My cold/flu is still hanging around and i feel so weary...no energy....no appetite.....abject misery....
Time to walk in the cool 🌞 ....its going up to 19c today...imagine a heatwave to herald the near future
Snowbanks......
Winning".

My brother had a push bike when i was at the age you mention.....and on a rare occasion would
condescendingly allow me to ride it in the garden until one day I fell off it and ended up with a very bloody knee...
there was a quarter inch of ice on the pathway made it too slippery for amateur 🚴‍♀️ biking.
Never was allowed to ride it again.
Later owned a Hercules sports, pale mauve colour..my choice...went like the wind everywhere on that bike
cycled forty miles daily to work and back....best days of my life.
This was in suburban London UK ...........where a quarter inch snowfall stalled and stopped the traffic...
This was not a good preparation for when i came to Canada........understatement of the year.....
snowdrifts up to my waist...definitely not prepared for that.
Winning....

I've really missed my bike rides this summer while Les has been below par.But we'll be off again as soon as we can.Maybe short rides to begin though.Have had a walk along the river today,It's a really bonny day and mild....Calm before the storm ???
Scott is at John O' Groats and it's raining. They're in a cracking motor home though, and not a tent.

Sandy and I are heading for our last Kayak Fishing tournament of the year. I'm afraid that it is going to be a cold weekend for it. This is the state championship. Somehow we qualified for the competition, even with our lack of fish in the other 6 tournaments this year. Sometimes you get rewarded just for being consistent. We did not miss any tournaments this season.

Drake he was a Devon man and ruled the Devon seas........maybe gran went southwest to Devon to
seek some fame and fortune.....
Trying to stay in shape Carol......walking some miles every day........the cold is still hanging around.....
Mandy....think by now you may be perfectly preserved.....

Just read in Pharmacy News that liquidsoap is a good quick fix for leg cramps and it is suggested due to transient receptor factor.so its interesting to hear of a scientifiic basis.
This may not replace the soap in bed though but is a quick fix for someone in immediate need.
Have a good day Everyone and please start filling this space......haha

Hi all.. been busy creating a huge fox for our xmas displays.. been attaching lighting strips and lots of careful bandaging of a wire frame to cover it before i paint it fox coloured. Very fiddley n time consuming just hope it looks as good as i want it to when its finished.

Hope all you lovelys are well..if not i pray you feel better soon💖💖💞💞 xxx

Thanks Chris, being creative is a big part of my job..so its a good job i am of that nature🙂. I enjoy making things from next to nothing,im also currently making a farmyard for my grandson, from cardboard, paper mache and paint. He is "helping" me or maybe not so much🤔😁
💞

Hi hunni, its was about 6.30 am here when i posted, its my usual get up for work time as i need awhile to come round and get moving..tho its my day off this week, body clock does not seem to like me having a lie in🙂.
Mind u its my mums birthday today and i have to be there at 9am, as she has the delivery of a chemical toilet to use downstairs due this morning. She has been unable to get upstairs for ages, and we have just managed to get 1 free for her via social services. Thankfully no more commode emptying🤭. Hope you manage to get some sleep love. 💖💞

I still have soap under the bottom sheet, which I change occasionally (the sheet more than the soap of course).Works for me.I dread leg cramps.

Thirty years ago I got a tattoo of the yellow rose of Texas and a green leaf, right above my heart.
But with age comes sagging, and my yellow rose of Texas is now down to my waist and looks like a picture of Tony Bennett with liver disease and an elf hat.

Yes Trysha,of course I was kidding about having a tattoo.I can't think of one I would fancy.

New subject...what would any of you have tattood on your person and where ? And those of you who have already succumbed...Fess up.
Hubby has a Golden Eagle on his forearm after a drunken night in his youth before we met.

Beautiful as I am.....no tattoos
Sorry to hear that Mandy...surely with all the new expertise someone could do something..bright sunny day ...have to go out and brave the cold air.

Winning...

You would think so but it seems not. At least any thing they think would really help, which is for her to be able to walk more a few feet. Her left ankle now is floppy and they say thet cant do owt about that, so we stuck really.

Enjoy your outing and be carefull out there. X

Hey all, no tattoos, younger than 525 yrs but not by much....have lots to say but not today - hope you are all well. Not winning but thinking about it.

Hi Grumpy...dont just think about it..jump in with both feet and start winning...
Easier said than done We all know that...
Good day Everyone...
