Leaking around stoma> fissure?

HI I was wondering if anyone had this happen to them? I think I have a fistula around my stoma because stool is coming from around it( yes the skin) and then through the stoma into my bag and also out my jpouch too (yes I am going to the bathroom normally). My skin is on fire.. Sometimes I feel I can't take it. I can't sleep. I seen a stoma nurse today and thats what she thinks is going on. I have my takedown the 16th of this month so is this something serious? Drs don't do anything for me so it would be a waste to go to the hospital yet again. Please help I'm in pain yes.. I feel I am getting use to it but want this to stop.

Hi. Being in pain is never fun and I hope you get relief soon. I don't have any experience with what you're dealing with but if it were me, I would probably let my doctor know. Good luck with your takedown. I hope you have a quick recovery.

Maria, when you saw the stoma nurse, did she check the size of your stoma and the hole size for the wafer you are using? Sometimes if it's too tight it can cause this issue.

I hope that is the problem, and not something else. I am so sorry you are in pain.

Yes. She made a bigger hole explained to me why. I So wish I knew this before. It actually did feel better .. but last night it woke me from deep sleep and I just had it so I calledthe dr . He just said I needed to go to er. Thank you guys for the support...
