Hello All

Had my surgery last Thursday the 18th. I had the last 3rd of my large intestine removed laproscopically. I have 3 very small incisions and one large (about 2") right above my groin. I was surprised (and very thankful) to have only spent 2 days in the hospital. I'm on no meds right now and aside from the soreness of the large incision and regular D I feel pretty good.

I have a question about the D though. I am on a "soft" diet (pasta, chicken, mashed potatoes, etc) and am still having pretty consistent D. Today was the first day I wasn't passing complete liquid and didn't need to get up to go during the night (first time that's happened in a long time.) Does this seem normal? It also doesn't seem to have a foul smell as you'd expect and it's very, very soft. I have a little bit of cramping above my belly button, but not bad. Passing stools isn't painful, but has a kind of odd feeling.

Just hoping this is all normal and someone can tell me everything is progressing OK. I am going to see my surgeon 9/1 and hopefully getting my staples removed then. Thanks in advance!
