Hi all is anyone in ciprofloxacin long term? I've heard of a woman with Crohn's who has been on it for 15 years and doing great.

My doctor mentioned this as a possible next step for me since Cimzia is not working. I think I would take Flagyl with it too, though. She said it can be really helpful in reducing disease activity, however antibiotics and I don't really get along that great. It's worth a try, though, especially since it has less risky side effects than some of the other drugs out there.

My doc said if I start on the antibiotics, then it would be a lower dosage than normal for an extended time. The problem is, I always get awful thrush infections that take FOREVER to go away anytime I start an antibiotic. In fact, I am still trying to get rid of thrush that I have from antibiotics that I took a month ago.
