Hey everyone I'm a new member here (even though I was diagnosed with Crohn's back in 2013, 15 years old) but have had some very, very odd symptoms recently that I would like to share and hopefully receive some feedback/insight as to what's going on!
For 2 years I had not seen blood/mucus when passing bowel movements. I was using the toilet normally, approx once or twice a day (normal for me anyway!! :shifty But all of a sudden, everything's changed (AND IT HAD TO CHANGE RIGHT BEFORE MY A LEVEL EXAMS)
Now I find myself using the toilet TOO frequently- maybe 6-8 times a day  And it's not every time that I go to use the toilet that I'm able to form a solid, firm poo: this rarely happens. More often than not, I'm passing this weird brown, red fluid that will come out as if I'm peeing (so, it pours out kinda) but obviously from the other end! . When it comes out, it looks like very, very small bits/chunks of what looks like....tissue? MY INSIDES This then sinks to the bottom of the toilet bowl, and often leaves a red mark (blood most likely). A lot of blood is lost when I use the toilet, and from time to time I do see mucus.
When I get the urge to go- and very frequently this happens- I feel these bubble like movements within my stomach (it is REALLY bad when I wake up in the morning), and pain in my lower abdomen. This feeling tends to pass after I've used the toilet.
I have an endoscopy on Friday (even though I've been experiencing this for nearly 2 MONTHS and it's taken my hospital this long to try and help me out!!) The hospital did put me on the Modulen diet (not the exclusive one though, I am still allowed to eat solid foods). However, I rarely do want to eat any more to be honest- I'd rather just wait until it's time to have my next Modulen drink because I'm literally SO scared of what eating normal food could do to my insides
In the meantime, my mum and I have been attempting to do some research into what could be happening inside, because the thought of losing a lot of blood for a very long time is worrying. It's affected my revision for my exams over the following weeks, where it seems as though I'm using the toilet more than I am reading a Chemistry textbook!
If someone has experienced anything like this (or even has some knowledge of what could possibly be going on) please let me know! It would mean SO much to me if I could get some help!
Thank you so much!!
