My son was on Azathioprine for just over 4 weeks but was told to stop because his lymphocyte level was too low (0.55). He stopped taking it 2 weeks ago and has just had bloods repeated. Lymphocytes have dropped further to 0.42. Total WBC is ok. His CRP is 51 so things are obviously not good despite the fact that he tells me he's 'fine'. I don't have copies of most of his previous bloods but looking back to the ones I do have from March and June 2013 (just prior to diagnosis) his lymphocytes were again flagged as low (1.1 and 0.7). My question is, is a low lymphocyte count common with Crohn's?
