I have had Crohns for 12 years now. I have been on many medications. I currently take remicaide which helps alot for both cd and arthritis. I still get aweful cramps and pain when and whatever I eat. I have been using marijuana for the past 8 years and it is the only thing that settles my stomach instantly. Does anyone else use marijuana to ease Crohns cramps? And does it work as well for you as it does for me?

I started using recently after doing some research and looking through the forum here. It's definitely helped my general well being (Less pain, less bathroom trips, just feel better overall). I generally use before bed and it not only puts me to sleep like nothing else, but I sleep sound. What I probably find most beneficial is that as soon as I smoke some, any kind of cramping or pain that i'm feeling completely vanishes.
So I started about a month ago and have no intentions of stopping anytime soon!

cannabis and my CD

I find that vaporizing cannabis relaxes my intestines which lowers the stress in my whole body that occurs as a result of the CD. My CD is relatively bad and I tend to avoid food so the munchies help keep the weight on. When my CD is flaring I can get depressed and I find that the pot helps with this issue too. It does not take away all of the side effects but helps better than the meds out there like pain pills. Hopefully the liquor companies will allow us to continue to use cannabis as a med.
