We all know that tampons and pads make us miserableee...

I got to the point where tampons were becoming so painful (and pads just felt gross) that I decided to order a Diva Cup, which was probably one of the best decisions I have ever made!

It has decreased my cramps a ton, I never have to worry about grabbing a handful of tampons before heading out or worry about stains, it's saving me a good amount of money (initial investment is well worth it!), it's so much more environmentally-friendly, it's healthier (there are so many chemicals in the cotton used, including bleach! why would you want that in you!?)...

Just thought I would let you all know about how much easier this has made my period!! Every little bit helps (especially since a lot of us have worse flare-ups during this lovely time..).

This site helped me a ton with picking the right cup for me. http://menstrual-cups.livejournal.com/

I have been using a MoonCup (same idea, different product) for a few months now, and glad I changed. I had been suffering with thrush for a while that seemed to be related to time of the month. Then I remembered that as a baby I had been allergic to disposable nappies and my mum kept me in cloth. So I wondered if maybe I was having a reaction to feminine products too?

So now I use the MoonCup, and it hasn't completely solved my thrush problem but it is a lot less frequent than it used to be, I think I have had it once or twice since switching (and I'm pregnant which explains that!). It did take me a while to get used to it, especially removing (it's not as easy as a tampon) but I'm glad I persevered. And it's actually not as gross as it sounds!
