Anyone else out there experience any side effects with Methotrexate? I have had a "fuzzy head" for about a week now and just can't shake it - I feel really cloudy and drowsy. I am not sure if this is due to the Metho or if I am severely anemic again.

I have a call in to the doc for an iron test.

So far the only side effect I have had from the metho is a mild headache occassionaly. I am interested to hear anyone else's experiences.

Thanks and Happy Holidays!

One of the reasons I quit it was the fuzzy feeling all week and the complete and utter two day zombie sleep immediately after the dose. It just got worse over the 3 months until I'd had enough.

My daughter was on it for a year. For uveitis treatment. With advice from other users, I put her on a high protein diet for 48 hrs before~up through her pill day. We found that this really helped, I have no idea if there is a scientific reason why, but I can say that the parent's support group, along with the adult support group for uveitis finds that this helps and regularly recommend it as a strategy. Good luck~!~

i was on it for about 3 years, 25 mg once a week, felt sickish just now and again for the fists two month or so then i did think i had a kinda fuzzy head feeling, but it seemed to go after a further 2-3 month, cant say if it did anything for me as i was on pred all the time as well tying to keep the gut pains at bay with it mostly , seemed to be the only thing that worked for me at the time, thats why ive been on it so long till humira appeared

I was fuzzy headed, dizzy, tired, extremely tired, nausea and a few more things on MTX. It was not a viable option for me cause of all of the side effects.

I had fuzzy head, tired, and mild diarrhea for a while at first. When I take pills the side effects are much worse, plus I get volcanic acid reflux. When I inject IM the side effects are barely noticable.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I hope this clears up, and I still need to get my iron checked to see if that's making things worse.

Even if the metho is helping my Crohn's symptoms, I don't know if I can live with this fuzzy head!!!
