might have poisoned myself yesterday....

****.!

was oout yesterday, had a sprayer with what I thought was round-up weed killer in it, but turned out to be liquid diazinon (pesticide)...got it on my hand and didn't think anything of it......washed a few minutes later..all was good.

fast forward to about 230am - woke to check daughter, had KILLER headache...was in tears!......tried to take tylenol, threw it up......have lost track now of how many times I've puked...it is 645am now, head still hurts, not to tears point, but close.....no fever, but I am also starting to get chills/sweats.....

just looked up diazinon on line, as that is the only thing 'different' from any other day....those are 2 signs of poisoning....****!....

I think once our daughter is up, off to the ER we will go to get me checked out.....

Holy crap paso!!!

Yes, yes, yes, get to the ER!!!

I hope all turns out okay. Please let us know how things turn out when you get the chance!

Thinking of you hun...
Dusty. xxxxxxxx

First off, get checked out!! Secondly, where did you get Diazinon?? It was pulled off the market about ten years ago!!! I wish I'd bought a hundred gallons of the stuff back then!! NOTHING kills ticks better!!

hey all.....finally stopped throwing up after posting this morning.....headache feels better but is still there.....managed to eat a piece of toast that has stayed down (so far).....finally got out of bed...

I know I am a knucklehead....debating on th er thing, or urgent care.....going to see if poison control has on-line info....

and Dex......this is old stuff from my mom's farm.......

Phew Lisa!
Gave us all a scare there!
Still get it checked out tho, be on the safe side
xxxx

called poison control, the woman said she didn't think it was related, due to the delay in the time from exposure to my symptoms....

got some excedrin migrane down, and just had a small cup of coffee...head is feeling better, but I'm exhausted!...grrrr.....

and of COURSE - I had a TON of things I wanted to do today.....and need to water my plants outside too!

A ton of things to do??!! When you feel like that! (you ARE worse than me!)
Please take it easy, good grief, sleep, sleep, sleep!

Misty - don't worry, I haven't gone farther than the bedroom to the sofa in the living room!...was supposed to go to my mom's and put away the left over plants from my sale yesterday....called mom to tell her I was sick.....

just aggravates me that I can't get anything done...:stinks:.might end up calling in sick tomorrow depending on how I continue to feel....no temperature at least!

and hubby is fixing me a bowl of chicken rice soup.....good hubby:kiss: !

I'm glad to hear you are taking it easy...gawd sake I got a fright when I read the first post!

Good hubby....can you clone him?

Heres hoping tomorrow brings you good health and a return to full energy!

Misty

Called out today - still have a nagging headache, no energy really...probably going to cal the docs' office in a bit to see what they say.....still feel like I want to throw up but can't quite 'get there'...not that I want to - but I usually feel better after I do!

Def Dr time. Let us know how you get on.

Fingers crossed by tomorrow you will be feeling ALOT better!

Misty

well - a bit of an update - called the doc today - first the GI who had one of the nurses from the infusion cllinic call me back - she didn't think it was remicade related because it has been 2 weeks since my infusion...she recommended I call my GP.....

Called the GP's office, I have an appointment for 1245 tomorrow afternoon - planning on going in to work in the morning, AND I have a meeting with my Chief to discuss the transfer position I put in for (wish me luck!).....so I have to go.....then will leave work early for the appointment.

still have a nagging headache which seems to have settled around my left eye - was ~very~ tired today too - no energy...could do about 10 minutes of anything then had to sit for a bit.

Heading to bed early tonight too - hoping to feel better in the morning!

Sorry to hear you're not back to 100%. Glad you're off to Dr. Let us know how you get on!
Misty

Heading out of the office in a few minutes...unfortunately my head is still hurting, so I didn't give 110% at my interview....keep your fingers crossed for me!....the new position would be a change from what I do now to some extent, but the biggest thing is it would get me out of this same office day after day.....

It is wierd - head hurts more and less.....I know I have some fluid retention as my wedding/engagement rings are tight today - normally can slip right off.....ache still seems to be more on the left side with some crossover to the right now and then...

aaaaarrrrrrrggggghhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ok - next installment....saw the doc - he said 'good thing your're still alive (haha).....seriously - could be a number of things, from infection, to bleed....

So, waiting on a call back from his office regarding an MRI - hoping I can get in tonight (we have one locally that is open until 9pm!)....or tomorrow.....

Got some 'good' headache medicine - now waiting to see if it works!

Hope they did some bloodwork on you too?

Sweet dreams my darlin!!! Hope when you wake up in the morning...alls well.

lol Misty....

no bloodwork (yet) - I did have bloods drawn 2 weeks ago, and my GP (who is also a rheumy) gets a copy sent to him automatically.....

No call yet from the doc.....hoping my insurance company doesn't mess around and take a few days to approve the MRI! The last one I had only took about 2 hours to get approval.....

I'm surprised they didnt take more blood today, just to be sure. You need the MRI...so send happy thoughts to the morons who type up the approval! Oooohhhhhmmmm....ice cream.....oooohhhhmmmm...approval. You know, like the last time! Only faster!

Still...if you take the tablets now and they are good...you'll have a happy message on the answering machine when you wake up! And maybe even the job offer too!

so is this stuff supposed to make me SLEEPY?????.......just grabbed the bottle - it is Butalbital/Acetaminophen/Caffeine......I can say the left side of my head doesn't hurt, but my RIGHT DOES!

Went swimming this afternoon @5pm at my Mom's, been up since - don't feel any more tired than usual.......not sure I can take another one - maybe a night-night pill to make me sleep! hmmmm.....gotta check the acetaminophen content in this stuff so I don't take too much!

ARRGGGHHH>>>>>>>.....................

Pasobuff - fiorinal (Butalbital/Acetaminophen/Caffeine) has never ever made me sleepy, but I do know people who it's made feel a little drowsy. I suspect they're feeling pain meds loopy more than drowsy which only happens to me if I somehow manage to take more than my migraine needs. Of course, I'm not supposed to be taking it right now because of the acetaminophen, but what are you going to do ya know?
