Mouth sores while in remission

For those who have Crohn's and are prone to mouth sores, do you only get them while flaring or do you get them while in remission as well? They have been a problem for me my whole life, long before my Crohn's diagnosis, so I was suprised when I found out there was a link. Recently I have been plagued with a bunch of them, but I'm technically in remission. Just wondering if it's unrelated to Crohn's or a sign of things to come.

In my experience when I get my mouth ulcers, I'm not in remission. There is some inflammation going on that I just haven't noticed yet, if I think I am.

There are lots of types of mouth sores, though. You could have a herpetic infection that flares and subsides. A pretty large percentage of the population does.

i get them around "that time of the month". people who don't have crohn's get them so it may be unrelated. or if you are on any meds that weaken your immune system once you get one you just might not be able to fight them off.

Good luck!
