I'm presently in a Crohn's flare. Along with usual flare symptoms, I'm also experiencing mouth pain. I've never had this Before! My lips feel swollen. The inside of my lips and gums feel tender and tingly and painful, sorta like if you've eaten too many salt and vinegar chips. My teeth all ache like I've been clenching my teeth down hard for too long. Anyone experience this?
I don't SEE anything wrong. It's all how it feels! It's frustrating me! :-(

Thanks in advance.

Not so much my teeth, but my lips and gums do randomly hurt in the way you describe from time to time. I find I often get painful spots at the same time.

Crohns can attack the mouth. Pretty normal symptoms I think.

A couple weeks after I had surgery my teeth hurt for a couple days. I figured I had been clenching my teeth while I slept. Probably from stress. Hope you can feel better soon!

Thank you both for the replies. I hadn't considered it could be a normal symptoms of crohn's. Jeez, as if all the other stuff isn't already too much. Bleck!

Lots of possibilities for gum infections too. When it happens to me I regularly use mouthwash and will even dip my toothbrush in the wash for a while to kill off any bad bacteria that may have survived.
