Mum of a five year old with Crohns

I am a Mum to a five year old with Crohns, she was diagnosed at 3yrs. Up until a couple of months ago she has been doing ok-the odd flare up and needing pred, but over the last couple of months she has been very unwell. Her doctor now wants to put her on Sulphasalazine!!

Hi and welcome! I am so sorry to hear your 5 year old daughter has Crohn's. She is too young to have to go through all that comes this illness. Luckily, there are so many more treatment options today. I hope you will find the right treatment that gets her feeling as good as new soon!

Hi,
Sorry about your little girl. Don't worry too much about the Sulphasalazine. Probably one of the safest Crohn's meds. Good luck to you and your daughter.
