update: SES-CD?? My Crohn's (Ileitis) going from score of 3 to 4

Hello all. I only just found this forum today. Nice to meet you.

** update** I found out I'm talking about a SES-CD score, although I don't know much about that... see my 10th August post below...

I had my 2nd colonoscopy today; the first one was 2 years ago.

2 years ago the doctor said my Ileitis was a "3"... today he said it was a "4". So it's become slightly worse, but I can't find any info on what the scores actually mean.

What would an 'average' or 'bad' score be?

Would most people with Crohn's Ileitis slowly deteriorate and go to 5, 6 , 7 etc every 2 years or so?

I'd appreciate any information and/or links to what scores mean and what % of people are at what scores etc.

Thank you very much.

I've never heard of scoring like this - at least nothing official. Maybe your doctor was talking about a 3 on a score of 10?

I read my report more closely, and the '4' is referring to the "SES-CD" score. So I googled that, but could only find a number of scientific journals talking about the test, rather than explanations for a 'lay person' such as myself.

example: (I tried to post a URL to one such scientific article, but I can't because I have less than 10 posts in this forum, it seems...)

I'm wondering if anyone else has more general information about, and statistics regarding, this SES-CD scoring system?
