I'm 19, was diagnosed with Crohns last year after having a number of issues. Mostly pain and vomiting.

After a day in the ER, every test imaginable they sent me to a GI. Underwent colonoscopy and it showed Crohns. Also had a few abscesses and a fistula.

So I had a small bowel resection. They fixed everything and I'm doing really well now! She put me on Pentasa and a ton of vitamins, so seems to be helping.

I've always had stomach issues. As a child I had constipation issues- they said it was because I drank too much milk. I drank milk with nesquick by the gallons :]
Then going into my teens I had a lot of diarrhea.

And my whole life I had intestinal noises!!! Unbelievably embarrassing. I hated that more than my acne. Cause along with being so small I'd hear every day in jr high/ high school "eat something, jeez!" -_-

HI Jacquelyn:

Welcome to the forum!

I think a lot of people have experience "stomach issues" for a long time before they're diagnosed. It's amazing what sorts of things take the "blame" ---"lazy doctoring" is what we call it at my house.

I'm glad the Pentasa and vitamins are helping you and keeping you feeling good.

Looking forward to reading your posts around the forum.

Cheers,

Kismet
