my story (new here)

I am new to here and Crohn's disease. I have always had stomach and health prob. but a week ago sever stomach pain caused me to go to the hospital and after a week in the hospital and many test I found out I have CD also 3 days before my 31 birthday. I still have constent pain in my left side and a painfull bloating feeling. Im curently on a few meds and try'n to learn more about this disease any help, advice or stories will help thank you all:poo: :poo:

What part of your intestine is affected and what meds are you currently on?

I am sorry about the pain you are having. Is it bearable? Tylenol helps me...Many people suffer from bloating. (I call it my Crohn's pregnancy)

Welcome Sheraine, it is hard to wrap your brain around this, but there is alot of information here to help you get through it. Meds and the disease is different for us all. My worst was when I was 32 and first resection. I noticed you said left side? My pain in the begining was in the middle around the belly button and the right side. Now it is most my right lower Quadrant and sometimes my left.

Hang in there, help is on the way.
 
Hi Sheraine. By joining us here you have found a home to vent, cry and laugh. Nobody will judge you when things are bad and we will be here to talk to.

And someone at any given time will say something to brighten up your worse day. There are a lot of over grown kids here.lol
 
Welcome! I too was told I had Crohn's when I was 31 - Now, 45...I have had one small bowel resection surgery so far - But did no one mention Remicade or humira? These are good drugs for a lot of us and they really help with the inflammation

Everyone here is great! When no one else gives a crap, everyone here does and knows what you are going through.
 
Welcome. I too just recently found this place and there is a lot of useful information. The most valuable is that everyone does react differently to meds / food. It does get depressing but don't give up.
 
sorry to hear you got sick but you will feel better when you realize you are not alone with this.

Crohns covers a very wide diagnosis so don't be alarmed at all the different things you see here. It's not like you will have to deal with everything that goes on.
 
Hi sheraine - Welcome!

During a flare-up, most of my on/off pain is just left of center too, which seems odd since my trouble spot (terminal ileum) is located on the right side.
Hopefully you have good medical folks who can help you get through this.
