I have been fighting this dreaded disease for 28 years, first showed up when I was 30 years old, after 4 surgeries including a colostomy 18 years ago, I went into remission, 15 months ago it came back and I went to Cleveland Clinic for a Ileostomy.

Hi rohrski and welcome! Wow, 28 years? :( How are you feeling after the Ileostomy? Are you currently on any medications?

I hope to see you around. We're here for you anytime.

Hello and welcome to the forum :bigwave: That is a long time to be living with this disease and to have 18yrs of remission...blimey. How are you doing now? Are you on any meds?

Hi and welcome! I am sorry that your Crohn's returned after so long.

How are you doing with your new ileostomy? I sure hope you are feeling a lot better. I don't think you can do much better than the Cleveland Clinic. You may want to check out the Stoma Subforum - lots of good info in there!

Post Ileo

I am feeling OK after surgery no pain but I am having a rough time getting use to the ileo, with the colostomy I irrigated early in the morning and had no problems all day, I just hate the frequent trips to empty, It effects my golfing, hunting, about all outdoor activities, if there are any golfers out there let me know how you cope with having to empty while on the course, you know I am very lucky I took an early retirement right before all this happened, I feel and think about the people that have to go to work every day while dealing with this, but like I said it could always be worse, I am on no meds so far, thanks for listening.
