My treatment plan

Hi - just back from the consultant and we now have a "plan".

I am to take the budesonide (entocort) for 4-6 weeks dependent on symptoms and then reduce to 2 capsules a day for 4 weeks and 1 a day for 6 weeks.

Also to start on 6-MP (Aza) and the weekly bloods associated.

Pentasa sachets.

Barium x-ray in 2 weeks to determine the lenght of the stricture and if it is favourable then try to stretch is with balloon inflation.

Back to see him again in a month.

I am happy with it all - although the balloon inflation sounds like it may need a lot of sedative to be done !!

Anyone had it ?

I haven't had it done, but doesn't it feel nice to have a plan?
